In response to the brief set by RSA. The brief required a concept, product or vision exploring how people at work could work well. Through research and insights develop a solution to a working well problem that can be applied to the worker or work station. By creating a business case, the possibilities, implementation and scalability can be calculated.

I created a social kitchen franchise designed to encourage homesick business travellers to cook and interact in a home away from home environment. It is a specially designed restaurant where people who suffer from homesickness or loneliness can meet after work to cook together. The restaurant is inspired by Scandinavian design, the Danish work/life balance and culture.  The kitchen is targeted at people who travel for work and stay away from home mid-week, I found through conducting case studies that after work or during work people had feelings of loneliness which transcended into stress. The premise involves lonely people coming together and uniting over a ‘home cooked meal’ cooked by themselves and strangers.
