These illustrations are what I drew for Inktober 2018. Inktober is an event each October where artists can join in and draw something in ink each day, so long as it relates to the one word prompt for the day (see inktober.com for more info). To complete the challenge, it's also encouraged that each artist also post the work to some form of social media. I find it to be a great way to get your creative gears moving and also just to keep you drawing and experimenting every day. At the time of my uploading these illustrations, it's already been nearly a year since I've drawn them, but I thought they'd still be interesting to share again, and maybe raise some excitement for next Inktober.
Day 1: Poisonous.
Day 2: Tranquil.
Day 3: Roasted. Remember this guy; we'll pick up with him later.
Day 4: Spell.
Day 5: Chicken.
Day 6: Drooling. I did have to draw this in several parts and stitch it together in Photoshop.
Day 7: Exhausted. Drawn from experience.
Day 8: Star.
Day 9: Precious.
Day 10: Flowing.
Day 11: Cruel.
Day 12: Whale. I might like this one the best of all of these.
Day 13: Guarded.
Day 14: Clock.
Day 15: Weak.
Day 16: Angular. The only thing I could think of to draw for this prompt was an angry angular Anglican Angolan angler.
Day 17: Swollen.
Day 18: Bottle.
Day 19: Scorched. I said he'd be back.
Day 20: Breakable.
Day 21: Drain.
Day 22: Expensive.
Day 23: Muddy.
Day 24: Chop. Fan art of Axe Cop from his webcomic. Check him out at www.axecop.com.
Day 25: Prickly.
Day 26: Stretch.
Day 27: Thunder.
Day 28: Gift.
Day 29: Double.
Day 30: Jolt. I'm running out of ways to draw weird dragons.
Day 31: Slice. At least the poor knight gets a happy ending...
