Several engraved drawings for this frame are copied from the Russian 500-ruble banknote of 1912 issue. In the Expedition for the Preparation of Government Securities (EZGB), which produced this banknote, they called it “petenka” because of the engraved portrait of Peter the Great, placed on it. It was the most “expensive” banknote in the monetary circulation of the Russian Empire, and some art historians and bonists consider it one from the masterpieces of graphic miniatures.
According to the style of design it can be attributed to the Russian Baroque.

On the cover is a fragment of this banknote. The female figure depicted on it symbolizes "young" Russia.
