Riff Cannon: Dracula
5.25" x 16.5", Four-Color Print
A fun, atypical approach to the show flyer. The narrower shape allows flyers to be prominently displayed on telephone poles and streetlights, when most show flyers stay within the "quickie" 8.5" x 11" realm. Images rendered from 1970's British horror films reflect the tongue-in-cheek occult nature and humor of the band. Extra depth was provided by a separate top layer of elements rendered in halftone through Adobe Photoshop. The band names were hand-drawn to provide a rougher, more calligraphic feel to the piece, accented by the strong textures provided by the halftones. The calligraphic forms are repeated at the bottom, through crimson ribbons drawn out of the character's jaw, tying the top and bottom elements together.

Printed on tabloid size paper and accounting for the automatic margin settings on most commercial printers, this flyer was especially produced so that two copies may be printed on one 11" x 17" sheet, then cut lengthwise to make two separate flyers, thus making the most out of the alloted space.
