Em 9 de agosto de 2019, o maior evento de inovação do mundo passou por Lages, SC | Brasil em com sua edição itinerante, chamada Websummit On the Road, alem de Santa Catarina o evento passou por outros 8 estados.

O objetivo do evento é apresentar o ecossistema português para empresário e estudantes brasileiros, através de palestras sobre oportunidades de negócios, intercâmbio e turismo.

Lages foi a única cidade do Brasil, fora das capitais a sediar um evento desse tamanho.

On August 9, 2019, the world's largest innovation event was held by Lages, SC | Brazil in with its traveling edition, called Websummit On the Road, besides Santa Catarina the event went through 8 other states.

The purpose of the event is to introduce the Portuguese ecosystem to Brazilian entrepreneurs and students, through lectures on business opportunities, exchange and tourism. 

Lages was the only city in Brazil outside the capitals to host such an event.
