I have long had an idea to draw all the plants of the steppe. I was born in the steppe part of Kazakhstan and the landscapes full of grasses, tulips and different flowers impressed me a lot.

Many years ago plants looked completely different. And now I try to depict steppe plants as I remember them from my childhood, because who knows what plants will be in decades?..

I chose the classic version of the image of plants - a botanical illustration. 

This year for the first time I took part in the Exhibition of Botanical Art in Ukraine. My work was awarded with a diploma for the highly artistic works (drawings from the series "Crimean herbs" (or "Poetry in flowers")).

Also I work with Steppe newsletter (savesteppe.org/sb), they publish my artworks as illustration to articles.

Initially, I stylized plants, now I try to draw more scientifically.

These works are for true admirers of the steppe, botanical illustration and my art. A series of works at the moment is 17 drawings, they look great both in the series and separately.
