First Things First Posters

Posters designed in response to Ken Garland's First Things First Manifesto.

Ethics and graphic design have always had a close relationship. Ken Garland's First Things First manifesto
in 1969 came the notion that design is more than just a comercial tool, it's a way to affect society. As designers
we have a huge amount of responsibility, from the expectations of our clients to the launch of finished
project onto the internet for the whole world to see.

For the first poster I chose to respond to the issue of needing to work for money. Designers need to live
with enough money to survive and have enough money to pay the billstherefore taking on any or most work
that comes their way and not necessarily thinking about the clients' ethics too much.

The second poster brings to light the importance of designing sustainably . We need to sustain the supply of
resources so that we can, in turn, sustain human development. An issue that is very important and held close
  to my heart.
