Renaissance and Enlightenment thinkers believed in man's superiority and his ability to form a just, moralistic existence. In the Second Renaissance, in which humanity transcends biology, man is no longer the grandest creature alive as it is outshined by 2.0 humans; more intelligent and, of course, immortal. From the point of singularity onwards, a post-humanistic society crystalizes, devoid of divine morality and governed by human knowledge, old and new.
The point of singularity, futuristic and ambitious as it may seem, is not detached of our present reality. Science constantly explores the fusion of man and machine and the philosophical- moralistic debate is alive and kicking. The road to the described singularity point is paved with three significant revolutions (GNR): genetic revolution, Nano-technology and robotics. Along with major past revolutions of mankind, they get us closer to the inevitable outcome of humanity's triumph over itself.
״הסינגולריות כאן: אדם 2.0״ הוא טריפטיכון המתאר את שנת הסינגולריות הטכנולוגית כנקודת מפנה באנושות, שנה בה נוצרה ישות המהווה סינתזה מושלמת בין האדם למכונה. סינגולריות טכנולוגית מתייחסת לנקודת זמן עתידית בה ישיגו המחשבים יכולת אינטלקטואלית גבוהה משמעותית מזו של בני האדם; בינה מלאכותית מתקדמת שתיצור טכנולוגיה שתשנה את הציוויליזציה האנושית באופן קיצוני. היצירה נשענת על קלאסיקה אומנותית מתקופת הרנסאנס, ושואבת השראה מטכניקות התקופה כמו שימוש בפרספקטיבה, מנייריזם, דימויים ריאליסטיים ומערכים אדריכליים מהקלאסיקה העתיקה
הוגי הרנסאנס והנאורות האמינו בבכורת בני האדם בעולם ובתפקידם לכונן עולם טוב וצודק בכח תבונתם המשותפת. ברנסאנס השני, בו האנושות מתעלה על הביולוגיה, מתואר עולם שבו האדם כפי שאנו מכירים אותו היום אינו עוד נזר הבריאה, ואת כתרו נוטלים יצורים אלמותיים ונבונים יותר: בני אדם בגרסא 2.0. מנקודת הסינגולריות הלאה, מתגבשת חברה פוסט-הומניסטית אשר מנותקת ממוסר עליון ונשענת במקום על הידע האנושי, הישן והחדש
נקודת הסינגולריות, עתידנית ושאפתנית ככל שתראה, אינה מנותקת מהמציאות של ימינו. המדע עוסק בסינתזה שבין האדם למכונה והדיון הפילוסופי – מוסרי על הניסיונות להשבחת האנושות ער ובועט. הדרך לנקודה המדוברת עוברת בשלוש מהפכות חשובות: מהפכת הגנטיקה, הננו־טכנולוגיה והרובוטיקה. אלו מצטרפות למהפכות הגדולות שהאנושות ידעה ומקרבות אותנו, צעד אחר צעד, לנקודה הבלתי נמנעת של התעלות האדם על עצמו
