Over the past couple of years, we have made a few trips to Williamsburg, some because of the scenery, but also because of our love for our colonial history. This is from our first trip and a visit to the Plantation at Williamsburg. This was new to both of us, and we think new to Williamsburg itself, at least that is what we had been told. The goal is to make this a working farm, providing goods for the colonial village. The farm area is not large enough to supply the whole village, but it does provide some insight of what the settlement was like in the 1750's from a farming point of view. As you can tell, this visit was in the fall.
