MORPHING IN WHIRLPOOL

The concept was to create a print of morphing Sands from the bottom of the ocean to Seaweeds living from the deepest of the ocean;  to fishes and them diminishing into sea surface.

The print is done by creating small screens for texture printing instead of any big screens to know the complexity of creating a Textile Art piece. Also to recognize the amount of emulsion and pressure to use on the squeegee to get the desired color variation.

To show the scales and depth on fishes body; textures were transferred on paper via pencil
Those textures then were processes to screen making
exploring the shadows of fishes
Flow of weeds
various sizes of fishes where cut on paper to visualise it on a bigger scale
I needed to do the laser cut, which led me to work in Auto CAD software. After trying to learn for a few days. I successfully drew the layout for my work.
Final layout made in CAD
Fishes sticked with their respective cutouts so that
Some cut-outs were too tiny
