The HYBRYNORPEDIA is an encyclopædia of nordic hybrids in which flora meets fauna and leads to a new creations of imaginary creatures living peaceful lives in cold northern lands, forests and waters.
My art book is illustrated with hand-carved and hand-printed rubber blocks with a little touch of digital print.
Printed on the natural paper. Bookbinded with a black thread on a sewing machine.

run by two wonderful women Imi Maufe and Megan Adie.

Edition of 11 art books.
I digitally printed the layout first. Then hand-printed each hybrid inside (so they all slightly vary!).
This project combines fields I feel the biggest love to!
Digital and manual work, graphic design and illustration, carving and printing.

here you can see carving animals in the rubber blocks and hand printing them inside the book.
I bookbinded them on the sewing machine, with black thread.
Each one needs to have a knot tighten and then be cut on the guillotine!
Bibliotek Nordica is a library of 88 books made by artists creating in Nordic countries. It travels around the world in this wooden suitcase! I had a pleasure to take photos of it as well. Here you can see some!
It was good to see all of them lay down together! Each participating artist got a folder containing catalogue (designed by me too), flier and randomly chosen art book of other artist from this project!
