Service Design in Government 2018

Above, a redesigned version of the conference logo. The new design is cleaner and more modern, and takes advantage of the restrictive colour palette and new font.
The logo could also be adapted to represent sister conferences, targeted at the health and business industry, by simply changing the colour palette. Unfortunately the logo wasn't used, as the rebrand of the website and print was considered enough, without confusing the user.
Illustrations developed for the new design aimed to tell a story, whilst remaining inclusive and understanding to the wider audience. The conference was moving to Edinburgh, so the first illustrations were to accompany that announcement. The first version (above) featured a variety of people on a London bus heading to Scotland. The final version (below) used luggage and an arrival board to highlight the conference's international reach.
