When creating the Watford badge, the Hornet mascot has been used as a strong and powerful image to be easy recognisable and memorable.
With the open wings the hornet is holding a type of banner, with the Watford’s name in the center.
In addition to this, the hornet is holding a football with a single red segment - connecting the new badge with the past. The red segment also symbolizes a focal point - the focus required whilst playing a football game.
To make the hornet a unique element, I have made the body not as a traditional hornet body with horizontal black and white stripes, but vertical stripes representing the traditional and recognisable Watford T-shirt.
