Project Overview:
- Choose a professional typographer to write a profile for, highlighting how they
contributed to the style of the magazine or student’s own work.
- Contribution can be based on the designer’s practice or philosophical
positioning, or both.
- 500 words + images
Project Guidelines:
- Magazine is to be fully illustrated using type
- Black and white only on body of magazine
- Text content has to be original and written by the students
- Visual content has to be original and created by the students with exception to
profile/portfolio pieces and typeface review examples
On this page, there is a pocket containing a card with a graphic iteration of Herb Lubalin's typeface, Avant Garde Gothic.
These are the two components which made up the pocket; the back page and the attachable pocket. I had designed the pocket with tabs that would be folded outwards and attached to the black boxed area on the spread.
Within the pocket, contains a card depicting a stylised Lubalin's font: Avant Garde Gothic.
