A 3D animation project done for the purpose
to reiterate scenarios from American pay television channel FX's famous horror anthology
TV series: American Horror Story,
fifth season, Hotel.
AHS: Hotel story centers around the mysterious Hotel Cortez in modern Los Angeles, California, caught by the eye of an intrepid homicide detective. The Cortez is a hotspot to murderers, ghosts and paranormal fans but is overseen by its enigmatic matron, The Countess, who is a bloodsucking fashionista.
Style Frames
The design is to show the interior space of Hotel Cortez hotel room, hallway with items like lipstick and police badges connect to the main characters motives and personality in the show. It is designed as a short title sequence/ intro with the show's title card in front.
Preview Wire Frames
Style frames and Wire frames of the title sequence were rendered in Cinema 4D. No intros were uploaded but multiple scenes were shown of the objects that the camera was focusing.
The modeling and texture were all done in Cinema 4D, including Ambient Occlusion and lighting. With Yellow and Green colors saturating, experimenting with Red combines into a deep dive into the addictive, campy and creepy space of the hotel hallways, room and objects.
