THE NORTH FACE TENTS DESIGN DIRECTOR
The North Face has always had a reputation for making bomber tents and for 6 years, I was privileged to collaborate with some of the best tent designers and engineers. As I entered the Equipment Design Director role, it was necessary to implement a design asset strategy, while paying homage to the original tents for the 70's. The iconic yellow and bold blocking have evolved to inform a cohesive design language across the brand.

We wanted to create an unthinkable way to experience the outdoors and were inspired by the glass wing butterfly. This is the first use of this innovative construction in tents. The Fusion 2 has a gradient mesh canopy that blends into the bathtub floor construction, allowing the campers to spot their campsight from afar and experience the stars in a unique way.
VE 25 DESIGN DIRECTOR
A core mountaineering, 3 person Yurt for lodging in sever conditions. Bold yellow and black, disruptive blocking informed by the need for high contrast and easy visibility in white out conditions. The VE 25 has a double wall construction, a rigid pole structure and quality fabrics designed to withstand high winds and heaving pelting snow... and it does.
