The brief_ develop the packaging and specifically the graphic solution for a brand of tissues. Transform the simple tissue box and bring it to life through the clever use of graphics and on-pack communication. 

 

The concept_ I decided to create the Kleenex Tissue Cam. A tissue box and a pinhole camera in one. It is a fun, unpredictable way of re-using a traditional tissue box and bringing the box to life. I saw that there was a gap in the market in terms of really cool and exciting tissue box designs for young people and so the Kleenex Tissue Cam was born.

 

The top half of the Kleenex Tissue Cam functions as a normal tissue box, while the bottom half functions as a film pinhole camera. The “Kleenex” sticker needs to be removed and the slider on the right side of the box must be pulled out to expose the film in the inside of the box. The film can be replaced by tearing on the perforated line on the bottom back part of the tissue box. The used film can be removed and developed and the film can be replaced with new film. The box can then be resealed using insulation tape.

 

The design_ aesthetic is based on vintage film cameras and the promotional items focus on the fun side. The dirty faces competition is a fun and interactive way to get people involved in using their Tissue Cam.
