As a designer in the Journalism Department at California Baptist University, I get the opportunity to work on a lot of cool stuff. Over the last 5 months the staff of Pursuit Magazine, a student produced campus publication of California Baptist University, headed by the Editor in Chief, Cristin Massey, Managing Editor Grace Ferrell, Design Editor Megan Paulos, Co- Photo Editors Lisette Nichols and Sarah Jane O'Keefe, as well a a wealth of other staff members consisting of, writers, editors, photographers and designers (like myself) have worked hard shaping and honing the look and feel of the latest issue. Issue 2 Volume 3 Spring 2013 is here at last and looking good. As a part of the team I designed and illustrated the 8 page travel section for this issue, which has already been awarded the Best Overall Design for the 2012-2013 run by J@CBU, California Baptist University.
