Throughout the final year before completing a bachelor’s in engineering,
every student is required to undergo a senior capstone project.
Although infrequent, a personal project is accepted as long as an advisor is willing to oversee it.
Diverting from the preset list of biomedical projects,
I teamed with friends from
the mechanical engineering department to propose our own project:
Enhanced Running Performance through 3D-Printed Midsole Design.
This project looks to construct novel midsole designs through
the newfound material and structural variants
possible through additive methods.
