New York Times 50 Years of Pride Cover
—
Originally commissioned by the New York Times to design the cover art for the 50 Years of Pride issue. Half-century ago, the police and patrons clashed at a gay bar, the Stonewall Inn, in Greenwich Village NYC. That clashed help spark a movement that continues to this day. The cover was designed to commemorate that pivotal moment in history. This issue was released on Sunday June 23 2019.
To honor and pay tribute to this event I turned the cover into a limited edition of 50 signed and numbered 24” x 36”
