Holland Casino Leeuwarden

Holland Casino Leeuwarden is currently housed in temporary accommodation. The interior will be used for five years. This challenge was met by M+R by creating a theatrical atmosphere using large props resembling pieces of scenery. A multitude of organic shapes were applied to the design of the interior elements. As a result the box-like shape the Casino is housed in, has been almost completely absorbed by the interior design. The carefully administered lighting, combined with the dark walls, add a touch of drama. Sixty monitors above the bar, showing pictures of the casino with lifestyle images, cast a very contemporary high-tech accent. M+R designed both the play areas and the integrated catering area.
