Forming a design language for the Tentacle Lamp

Inspiration from nature is one of the best ways to go about designing. Nature has infinite combinations of forms and shapes and textures, all adapted for functionality as well as visual beauty. In this, the Tentacle project was a simple one, to create a sculptural lamp based off an animal- in this case, the squid. Intended to be visually striking and provocative more than a functional direct light-source, the Tentacle project is more about the fun you can have with design and nature than anything. Oh, and glowing red eyes.
