Beeing Better
- An experimental thesis about what people can do to help save bees. Includes motion media animation, projection mapping, sculpted wood, and cast molded beeswax. To help encourage families to help the declining bee population, the project used a light hearted and friendly design style to help counter the common frightening and dangerous perception of bees, especially to small children. The project had an additional design constraint of including all five human senses to help increase immersion and engage the audience with our message.
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were used for the creation of all design assets, which were then imported into After Effects to be edited and animated for the final projection installation. In addition, all sculpted elements were first concepted in Photoshop before being physically constructed. The final animations were then projected on the scupture using MadMapper.
