Yvymbyte - A sabedoria dos Mbya Kuery
Yvymbyte é um documentário sobre a aldeia Piraí, localizada em Araquari (SC). O projeto recebeu o Prêmio Catarinense de Culturas Populares, foi produzido por membros da aldeia juntamente com uma equipe de jornalistas e produtoras audiovisuais que acompanharam as filmagens e realizaram workshops.
"Yvymbyte is a documentary about the village Piraí, located in Araquari (BR). The project was awarded the Catarinense Prize of Popular Cultures, and was produced by members of the village together with a team of journalists and audiovisual producers who accompanied the filming and making workshops."

Para retratar a vida na aldeia, busquei juntar os elementos que compõem a fauna e flora local de maneira que formassem um ecossistema visual. A erva mate foi trazida como um elemento de destaque, da mesma forma com que é valorizada dentro da aldeia.
A partir do fruto da erva mate, é possível retirar um corante natural vermelho, com base nessa ideia, a cor vermelha foi aplicada nas pontas das folhagens e também nos dedos das mãos. O vermelho representa o contato humano com a natureza e reforça a cor do sangue que corre em nossas veias e nos torna todos iguais.
"To portray life in the village, I sought to bring together the elements that make up the local fauna and flora in a way that would form a visual ecosystem. The maté herb was brought as a prominent element, just as it is valued within the village.
From the fruit of the mate, it is possible to remove a natural red dye, based on this idea, the red color was applied on the tips of the foliage and also on the fingers. Red represents human contact with nature and reinforces the color of blood running through our veins and makes us all the same."

A formação completa das plantas forma uma anatomia de um cocar, símbolo indígena.
"Hands represent the surrender of those who are part of nature and wish to live in harmony with it. The craftsmanship is exposed on the cuffs through the bracelets.
The complete formation of plants forms an anatomy of a headdress, an indigenous symbol."
