Description: The aim of this project is to design a sustainable energy-efficient "Commercial High-rise" in Chittagong. The concept of this project was designing a High-rise having
- alternating and circulating green space after every 5 floors to scale down the high-rise in human scale as well as to provide clean natural ventilation and daylight at every floor.
- Providing a screening at West facade to diminish solar heat gain.
- providing a 5 storied podium to merge the massing into urban scale
- Designing a compact split Core including fire safety measures to minimize risk and cost.
- Providing sufficient public functions (restaurants, cafe, bank, atm, shopping mall etc.) at the podium to make the High-rise lively at time of the day.
