MUSEO STIBBERT IDENTITY
FLORENCE, ITALY—SPRING 2019

Identity for a museum in Florence, Italy, that is home to a vast collection of European, Middle Eastern, and Asian armor, as well as ceramics, costumes and paintings.

The identity merges together the broad-nib pen and blackletter references found throughout the museum and in its current logo, with an abstracted representation of sword blades, which aims to encompass the diverse array of armour and swords found in the collection. The jewel toned color palette are sampled from the museum’s rich-colored interior. The identity aims keep to the adherence to order and organization in the museum through its applications.

My process started with many sketches and then moved onto digital to understand my tools. It skipped between the two until I came to a concept and then worked hard to develop it in the identity's applications.
