Tengu (天狗)
Tengu also known as "heavenly dog" are a type of creature found in Japanese folklore. In Shinto, they are considered kami or yokai. Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinese demon Tiangou, the tengu were thought to take the forms of birds of prey, and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics.
The first step for creating this project was first sketching up the image in pencil in sketchbook and then enlarging and printing it and creating an image made from brushwork.
Next the film work for the silkscreen was made using half tone dots and straight black. The image is printed in reverse so when pulling on the screen the image is printed upright
Lastly these are the final images printed from this project all of the colors can be interchanged.
