"One sardine, one boat, one life", Rome, 2019.
In the private collection in Ostia (Rome) since October 2021.
I sent these illustrated sardines to compete in The Lisbon Sardine Festival 2019.
Then, I sent my sardines to the Premio Artkeys International competition in Agropoli, Italy, where "One sardine, one boat, one life" became a finalist. This sardine was exposed in a beautiful medieval castle of Agropoli and now she makes part of the first Artkeys exhibition catalogue 2019:
This illustration has a few meanings. We could compare sardine’s life cycle to a boat. A little sardine becomes an adult fish. A little sardine is as a little boat. A big sardine looks like a big sailing ship that needs deeper waters. It’s a natural life cycle, beautiful to admire.
