Indie Gig Poster- Vector

I adore music, especially indie bands with a nice, chill, peaceful feeling! Creating a gig poster for an imaginary band with that vibe was so fun for me! I wanted to design an advertisement that would convey a message or a feeling that would be relatable for those who might like this bands music. This poster could help to attract the band's target audience-- people who like their type of music!

The name of the band actually has a really fascinating meaning. Tacenda is a rarely used English word for "words that are better left unsaid". To better enhance this idea I created a fox that's looking longingly back at its footprints. It conveys a sense of wonder, thoughtfulness, and reflection.
Finding an idea I was drawn to was so difficult! I started sketching a lot of ideas with animals and trees. Eventually, with some feedback and help, I settled on the idea of using a bright red box with some trees and stars in the background.
I made numerous changes throughout the process as depicted above. Changing the sky from black to blue was a suggestion a friend of mine made. It ended up being one of my favorite things about the poster! I also added some different textures and elements that helped to take the poster from average to awesome! The clouds add a nice touch and moving the trees from the center to the sides helps to simplify the design.

With a final font change, the poster was finished! I love that the final product has all the qualities I was imagining in my head! That's difficult to accomplish as a designer. It's colorful, mysterious, and have a calming feeling about it. I'm thrilled with the final product of the poster.
