PLERED, PURWAKARTA - TRADITIONAL CERAMIC CRAFTS

Plered is a city located in South of Purwakarta, West Java - Indonesia. Whenever I go there; I find something new about this place. I had been to Purwakarta a couple of times and every time I walk around the lake, I came across with different views and moods of the lake. Never had an idea there's a place were developing traditional ceramics craft not too far from the lake. This city's full of Crafts History, commons people say their ceramics existed since The Neolithic.
Quality > Quantities
The Neolithic, the final division of the Stone Age, began about 12,000 years ago when the first developments of farming appeared in the Epipalaeolithic Near East, and later in other parts of the world. far to the east many people come from the Cirata area (across The Citarum River). Once upon a time, they make some crafting arts from clay for household needs purpose such as Gerabah & Pot with different sizes. Nowadays most of theirs Ceramic Craft was sending around Indonesia (Bandung & Jakarta) and some of them go to UK, Netherlands, France, Germany and half of them in US, South America, China and Vietnam. Their ceramic craft could push Indonesian Global Economic Rank, particularly in ASEAN & National.
