Sala de parto´s 2019 theatre plays visual identity
Sala de Parto (ENG: Delivery room, labor room) is an initiative of peruvian based theater 'Teatro La Plaza' that was born in 2013 with the aim of stimulating the birth of new Peruvian theater plays. Sala de Parto offer free dramaturgy training to people who do not have the brakes to express what they feel. In seven years they have already trained more than 100 students.
As part of this initiative is the Sala de Parto theatre Festival, where a selection of works from different parts of the world that seek to question the public with its content is assembled in a two week celebration. In addition, during the festival foreign festival programmers are invited to watch Peruvian theatre. As well, the festival showcase early work-in-progress dramatized readings of previous Sala de parto´s annual playwriting contest winners. This 2019, for the first time, eight original plays from Sala de parto´s winning playwrighters are launched. Sala de Parto seeks to create relevant, contemporary and provocative peruvian theater. A main piece of this festival is the Teatro La Plaza, a Peruvian non-profit institution, dedicated to the development of theater, which brings together the most interesting directors and actors of the medium to produce montages.

ESP: Sala de Parto es una iniciativa de Teatro La Plaza que nació en 2013 con el objetivo de estimular el nacimiento de nuevas obras teatrales peruanas. Ofrecen formación gratuita en dramaturgia a personas que no tengan frenos en expresar lo que sienten. En siete años ya llevan formados más de 100 alumnos.
Como parte de esta iniciativa está el Festival de Teatro Sala de Parto, donde se monta una selección de obras de diferentes partes del mundo que buscan cuestionar al público con su contenido. Además, durante el festival se invita a programadores de festivales extranjeros para que vean teatro peruano. Este 2019, por primera vez, se lanzan ocho obras. Sala de Parto busca crear teatro relevante, contemporáneo y provocador. Una pieza principal de este festival es el Teatro La Plaza, una institución peruana sin fines de lucro, dedicada al desarrollo del teatro, que convoca a los más interesantes directores y actores del medio para producir montajes. Este año planean presentar 8 obras de teatro hasta diciembre
