COMIC DESIGN: THE CROW
This is an audio called “The Crow” in Story of Country. The story of The Crow is telling about a big white crow said they do not have to listen to their creator, and then a eagle told their creator what the crow said, the creator called a storm, and lightning struck and fire at the crow, it was burned to all black except for its eyes. The audio is full of imagination that draw in comic narrative. With the idea, I start my design travel.
CHARACTERS SETTING
The crow
Using the way of personification to draw the crow in this story, the crow just like a leader in those birds, it told to all the bird they dont have to listen to Baiame and all the birds are followed the crow, which means the crow definitely gave a different feeling between other birds. Also it is the main character. I want readers to focus on it. So I create it to be half person half bird. And I think the crow is arrogant, I think it should be a male and good-looking. The crow has human thoughts and he is closer to human. That is the reason why he wears with clothes.
EVOLUTION & COLOUR PROCESS
The colour of comics are black and white with comic screentones. It also called pattern or textures and often used in Japanese comics. With different screentones to show difference degree of grey colour.
