Risograph Project
-Cultural Identity
Risograph is a Japanese printing process from the 80's. The machine creates a thermographic plate for each colour separation, whether that analogue or digital, which is then wrapped around a drum. Ink is then forced through the voids in the master plate. For this unit, I used this process to create 3 finals based on Scottish Culture. I was previously clueless about this process, however, after researching this method, I learned hoe to take my ideas and adapt them to be slightly more illustrative, ie. to be able to create intermediates that would better suit the Rise printing process.
