About this project

This particular photoshoot implied a simultaneous focus on small jewellery pieces and, of course, the interior design of the museum space of the Architect House in St. Petersburg. One of the tasks facing our team was to modernise the idea of jewellery. Therefore, it has been decided to use modern and in some cases very bold looks in the archaic ambience of the museum.

For me, as a photographer and supporter of natural light, it is always extremely important not to lose the existing atmosphere, subsequently, my decision here was to use an integrated approach to lighting scenes using only one pulsed light source. Afterwards, I enhanced the atmosphere of the scenes, making them heavier, more muffled and giving the gold elements a greater degree of a bronze tint.

Эта съемка предполагала одновременный фокус на небольших ювелирных изделиях и на интерьере музейного пространства Дома Архитектора в Санкт-Петербурге. Одной из задач, которая стояла перед нашей командой, было осовременить представление о ювелирных украшениях. Поэтому было решено использовать в архаичных помещениях музей современные, а в некоторых случаях даже очень смелые образы.

Для меня, как для фотографа и приверженца естественного света, было важно не потерять имеющуюся атмосферу, поэтому было решено использовать комплексный подход к освещению сцен, задействовав лишь один импульсный источник света. В последствии обработкой я усилил атмосферу сцен, сделав их более тяжелыми и приглушенными, также придал золотым элементам более бронзовый оттенок.
