ARTIST BOOK
The story of the artist book: The artist book was designed before the interior design project for the Wymering Manor which is one of the oldest houses of Portsmouth. The aim was telling a story about the past and future of the Wymering Manor. The cover of the artist book was made with plywood and cut by CNC, and it was inspired by the historical cabinet used in the great hall of the manor. Its pages made of transparent acrylic pieces, which are knotted to each other by wool strings. Pattern traced from the rug used in the Wymering Manor was engraved on the pages, and some perforations have done by CNC, each page has some parts of the whole pattern which are following each other. Acrylic pages can be open and fold in different three-dimensional ways.
