Tentrax | Brand Identity & Illustration

The Challenge
Tentrax produces lightweight, compact and agile camping trailers built tough in order to be pulled through tough off-road (and on-road) trails. Tentrax prides itself in allowing people to truly go anywhere they want, yet have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. We were tasked with developing a fresh brand identity design that not only appeals to the off-road demographic, but also feels approachable for the casual customer, just looking for a compact camping trailer.




Our Approach
With the branding for Tentrax, we focused on the feeling of both exploration and freedom. We paired the imagery of an off-road tire and a compass for a unique icon that exemplifies the mantra of having the “freedom to go anywhere”.
The use of bold colours, crisp illustrations and strong typography, allows the branding to stand out in a very traditional industry.


Illustration
A big part of the visual system for Tentrax was the incorporation of illustration. Paired with bright outdoor photography, the solid colour and hard lines of the illustration added personality to the tradeshow banners, sales sheets, and apparel. In an overly masculine industry focused on mud and grit, the cleaner approach really set Tentrax apart form their competitors.
