Fellow Travelers is an artist's book based on my personal experience.
Last summer I took the whole journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway
from Moscow to Vladivostok. During the 9,288km journey I met many
people who were so different. Each of them had their own character
and their own story. The book contains passengers' long stories which
are replaced by their short quotes, landscapes from the carriage
window and some facts about how to survive during the 7-day trip.
Illustrations were made in collograph technique. Many different
materials were used to form a variety of textures including:
- corrugated paper
- sandpaper
- fabric
- small twigs and other organic materials
- bubble wrap
- fiber glass plaster grid
