Commissioned by Tourism Development Company, a body working under the Ministry of Tourism for Trinidad and Tobago, this activity book was developed to build awareness among our youth about their environmental responsibilities. Coupled with the Las Cuevas Beach achieving its Blue Flag Certification, it marks a milestone for local environmentalism.
Blue Flag is a world-renowned eco-label trusted by millions around the globe. In order to qualify for this prestigious award, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and access-related criteria must be met and maintained. For the coastal environment, water quality, safety and access for all; the Blue Flag represents a serious and profound commitment to both people and the environment. Central to the ideals of the Blue Flag programme is the aim of connecting the public with their surroundings and encouraging them to learn more about their environment.
