Japanese Garden's are renowned by their offering of aesthetic intricacies, and often conceptual / philosophical ideologies. All of which, encompass an expressed function to draw attention; whilst provoking discovery and mindfulness within a contemporary setting. Meanwhile, ecocentric formations from across meticulously placed rocks, vegetation and architectural structures of varying materials allow to preserve their historical heritage. 

A series of illustrations where produced to explore this narrative in a purely abstract, and expressive context. Upon which, key elements from across the use of typography, colour and illustration each serve as visual queues to evoke these natural landscapes.
