Sphere
The goal was to develop concepts and designs for three different directions of Michael Crichton's "Sphere". I avoided choosing something that was already well done, famous for the design, or recently made into a movie. I also avoided cookbooks, photo portfolios, etc. I wanted to design a book that had depth, character development, and a sense of place and / or time, and I thought "Sphere" contained all of that.
