FourPure Modular Beer Tap

A beer tap designed for London based brewery FourPure.
The target market for this brief is Generation X and Generation Y.
To understand where existing solutions fall short, we interviewed both user groups: bartenders and customers, within  this target market.
We asked them about their engagement with the products they buy in bars and restaurants.
Below are the key findings from these conversations and in-person research.
We used WGSN to understand how experiences are created now and in the coming years.
Integrating ‘theatre’, a memorable experience, into the design will engage customers.

Further in-person research involved finding out how experinces are created for customers. We looked at a variety of store experiences as well as just bars.
Development sketches exploring problems found in research.
Development sketches for an 'embedded object' design
Model making to develop a 'scene' depicting brand identity of Session IPA, one of FourPure's best selling drinks.

The design has a removable front section, so any FourPure beer collection can be shown.
A User Hall Test gathered feedback on colourways and material choices.
Most preferred colour and material combinations are above.
The model was tested in bar locations to ennsure it did not create problems found in research, such as impeding on the bartender passing drinks across the bar.
