As a culture, we obsess over what we can’t have. Obsession is an iron mask that allows us to gaze in only one direction at one thing. Such obsession amounts to the same thing in all cases: addiction.

Ethízo is a satirical/ lifestyle magazine that seeks to educate one on the goodness of obsession. The first issue of Ethízo delves into the self-obsession phenomenon. We are currently living in the age of self-obsession (even digitally), where humans are putting forth these edited and inflated versions of their lives, this ‘idealized self,’ and then they are, quite literally, falling in love with themselves. And they are often criticised for being narcissists. 

Research has shown that there are benefits in being narcissist. In fact, there is nothing wrong in longing for that perfection, even if it means to go under the knife. Everyone has the right to be confident in being who they desired to be.
