BACHPAN
In the time of fast paced life where peer pressure, competition, stress and social expectations are taking over young minds there is a need to pause and recollect the social, cultural and moral values. The Panchtantra stories that we have heard since childhood but forgotten with time still hold insightful morals that can act as means of reconnection and clearing of minds. The collection Bachpan derived from Panchtantra stories which includes shrugs and stoles is designed for Dastkar Andhra. The aim of the project was to incorporate intricate bold patterns and the applique skills of craftspeople from Juna Vadaj to the graceful handwoven fabrics of Dastkar Andhra.
