Brief:
Make a strategic and sustainable idea for å product based on a developing country of your choice. Make a packaging.
Solution:
Wishing Well is a company that contributes with building of water wells in developing countries. One of the highest causes of death in Senegal is contaminated water. Wishing Well seemed like an ideal messenger for this fictional project.
Ostrich farming is considered one of the most sustainable businesses in the world, being that everything from the ostrich can be used (feathers, skin, meat, even the egg as is shown in this product). An ostrich farm in Senegal will ensure more jobs for many of the town residents. This will provide an income for the people, but also give them a sense of contributing and making an effort in their own lives.
Concept:
The package itself is made out of ostrich skin which means it will be no waste, it can be used as a vase after having served its purpose as packaging. The products, flowerpot and watering can, is also linked to the main theme; water. The pattern on the inside of the label symbolizes outlined dry soil.
