The art of "The Mighty Grand Piton"

The Mighty Grand Piton is a short film about a young British girl, Connie, who travels to the Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia for her school holidays with her family. There, she accidentally awakens a giant robot buried under the Twin Piton mountains on the south of the Island. This robot seems compelled to protect Saint Lucia but his origins are mysterious. No one knows where he came from or how long he’s been there. During the many years he’s lain dormant, The Mighty Grand Piton, became nothing more than the stuff of legend.
This book is a commissioned work by The Line Animation to create and gather all the work done by all the talented artist who worked on the show into a solid block, where people can see all the intricate parts of the production of such a piece like Storyboards, Character Designs, 3D Models, Frame Breakdowns, etc.
Here you can have a look at what was the research for the "book vibe" at the very early beginning of the pre-production for the book. I tried to create some sample key pages, with the variations that i'll need for the final book (cover, section cover, frames pages, text+images, etc)
You can find more info about the project at The Line website and buy the Interactive PDF version of this book on Gumroad
