I've teamed up with a bunch of talented illustrators to organize Bon Voyage Week drawing event on Instagram. Fellow artists with whom I've hosted the event are @asmaoriginal, @asiaorlando_, @bronterose, and @moonchildillustrations.
We packed up out suitcases and starting off May 6th we left for a wonderful week-long traveling adventure!

We traveled to some far away places, real and imaginary and celebrated the irresistible joy of traveling through posting an illustration a day.

So many wonderful artists joining us on our journey too and all together we went on a wonderful journey of visual storytelling and had loads and loads of fun!
day I. Souvenir

Here are some of my favorites from souvenir collection I gathered on my travels - I find myself sometimes being a crazy collector lady picking up all things useful, weird, collectable, intriguing, beautiful, practical and don't even get me started on all the beauties I gathered from nature with an aim to turn them into something completely different. The most exciting part is that I never try to find them, they always seem to somehow find me - there's no better feeling then filling my apartment with those warm memories of moments once experienced
day II. Adventure

I love adventures and camping is one of my favorites when it comes to satisfying that adventurous nature of mine. Remember so clearly the first night my mum took me to sleep beneath the stars - that was one truly special night for me that I believe sparked my love towards the joy that camping brings early on. So thanks mum!
day III. Map

For me, time spent in nature is always a time well spent. That's why I love - well, besides mountains, parks, valleys, creeks, lakes, woods and arboretums - to visit the botanical gardens. So often located somewhere within the city limits they are like little educational senctuaries that offer their visitors escape from all the hustle. This is my imaginary mini map drawn from memories of my past visits to few botanical gardens.
day IV. Coast

For today's prompt, without giving it much thought, I decided to draw a lovely lady on the beach where the figs are apparently white because I'm still not comfortable with using purple tones. Staying in the comfort zone for today (well, except the figs) but hope it brings you some summer vibes at least.
day V. Museum

I find that the best thing about experiencing a museum, any type of museum really, is that you always somehow leave enriched with new ideas, inspirations, insights and knowledge. It's like taking it's bits and pieces home with you ♥
day VI. Lost

Had this fun idea to do a newspaper excerpt for today's prompt and just went with the flow. The piece was inspired by my occasionaly preoccupying urge to just get lost sometimes, to lose control and to capture the moment of uncertainty of what lies beyond.
day VII. - City

Dear Budapest, you've been my home for the last 6 months, but soon you will no longer be. My heart is part so sad to leave and part filled with joy and gratefulness that I've had a chance to meet you - your wonderful avenues and alleys, your hidden treasures and unforgettable people. You certainly made your mark on me - you're a city so vibrant yet I managed to find my so desperately needed calm somewhere between your busy streets and charming old trees. Now that we're soon to take part, let's leave it at goodbye until our next hello ♥
