Marmiai. Olis ir dažų kibirėlis (The Marmies. Olly and the Bucket of Paint) - award-winning, bestselling children’s picture book created by twin siblings, illustrator Martynas Pavilonis and author Indrė Pavilonytė. Published by Alma littera in Lithuania.

Topic: self-acceptance, self-love, diversity, empathy

The book follows story of mysterious night creatures called Marmies. All Marmies are born black so they can easily hide in the dark. They go out only at night. But one of the Marmies named Olly is born yellow instead. His parents are thoroughly hiding this feature – they are painting him black. Olly gets used to hiding his color too, even though it’s not easy for him – he has to make sure not to run out of the black paint and constantly avoid water. But one day Olly sees another Marmie that looks just like him, and it changes everything for him.

It's the first book in Marmiai (The Marmies) series.
