Mutant Family Vacation is a series of images shot in the style of the classic American snapshot, but with the use of Photoshop, taken into a surreal context. The composition of each shot was setup to look like any ordinary family vacation photo. However, the manipulations changed the images into the vacationing of a mutant family in Florida.
By utilizing unusual editing techniques and sustaining the "kitch" factor that goes along with vacation photography, the images become closer to the reality of family albums and memories.
