Neutraface Typographic Playing Cards

Winter 2012 | Typography 1
Practicing the relationship between function and aesthetic, these typographic playing cards exemplify the anatomy of the Neutraface typeface. Constructed from letters and numbers  these designs add architect Richard Joseph Neutra’s flare to a pastime enjoyed by all.

Released in 2002 by American Type Foundry House Industries, Christian Schwartz designed the typeface to be "the most typographically complete geometric sans serif family ever." This geometric construction stemmed from the design principles of modernist architect Richard Joseph Neutra. Through the synchronization between man and nature in its design, Neutraface exemplifies Richard Neutra's idea of Biorealsim.
