Custom invitation suite, wedding website, event design based on a school house theme
This job was actually for my husband and my wedding. We met in the fourth grade and were actually boyfriend and girlfriend way back then! So, when we got engaged and began planning our wedding, we wanted to pay tribute to our history together and decided to go with a school house/airplane theme. We made it our mission to have our wedding be funky, creative, and 110% us.
I made a list of all things schoolhouse and then had a really fun time conceptualizing different ways to incorporate them. I designed classroom inspired invites and a wedding website, notebook stylized programs and paper planes, illustrated alphabet card table markers and dessert table signage that matched our invitations. We worked with our caterer to serve childhood comfort foods and our baker made an amazing airplane cake with Jonathon Adler salt and pepper shakers for the topper.

I designed the invitation to fold up like a mailer. That way when our guests got the invite in the mail, they are presented with the look and theme from the very start. It also saved us money on purchasing envelopes.

I designed notebook-like programs for our ceremony. I also designed paper airplanes for our guests to throw in lieu of rice or confetti after we said "I DO." Each chair had a notebook program and a paper airplane place on it to resemble a school desk.
For our dessert table, we had all our family members make a dessert that we grew up loving. I then designed place cards to let our guests know who was responsible for the tasty treat.
I designed an alphabet card style for the table signage. Each table sign had a different word that described something about my husband and I. I then illustrated each table sign to coordinate with the word.
Designed straw flags that said "Playground Crush" and attached them to retro paper straws. These straws were placed in our signature drink.
4x6 postcard thank you notes.
Itinerary designed for the wedding attendees. Just a fun themed way to get everyone pumped for the festivities.
